7th is the one to one, lower gears under drives, higher are overdrives.Under stress transmission will prefer 7th ,as it's the strongest gear.

I’m sure you’ve done very well for yourself and it’ll only get better, but I wish you could see how much more cash you’d be sitting on right now if you had bought an old single axle (or even tandem axle) big truck to hotshot with. Using a grocery getter to haul freight just costs out the wazoo and, as you rambled on about throughout the video, pickups can’t stand that kind of workload and stay down all the time. Doing hotshot work with a tractor is one of the most profitable forms of trucking out there. What you’re doing is not. (These are facts. They are not guesses. I did it. I started that way 23 years ago. Your expenses just fade away with the proper tool for the job. I’m considering buying a three car hauler to go behind my twin screw and doing it again).

As a Dispatch Company helping lots of customers the only concern we have is regarding its accuracy and zero time to update the island. There are few companies out there who kinda offer the same thing which you guys do but the load takes 3-4 second to update on their platform resulting in loosing the load. I think you should start with giving us a trial for 10 days maybe to build trust and once we are satisfied we will definitely use this to our advantage. How that sounds?!

I am considering starting a hot shot business. One truck and myself driving to start. Am I crazy?

I moved up from non-CDL HS to a semi, but don't have a trailer yet so I'm running PO loads for JBH. But here's a suggestion for expanding your AI work: Add a search routine for parking and fuel. Those two things would be used by ALL drivers. Think about it, parking is a major issue for everyone. Most of us are without a copilot so we might sneak a peak at Trucker Path or something but it's not practical or safe if doing so while driving. Your customer base would explode if you made it easy to find parking!!!

I think your set up is good for something else. Instead of trucking cause the big companies are Using their own Load boards. system. It's cheaper for the truck driver. I don't know if you know truck. Stop just increase the price Again i downgrade to the smallest package. Cause I really don't use it that much. $2000 a year for truck.Stop 1 independent truck drivers just too much.

Hey guys I’m out in California and want to start up my hot shot company, does anyone know abt the 10,000 gvwr rule ? If your trailer is over 10,000 gvwr you need a cdl ? What if you de rate your trailer to 9k or 9999 ? Is there anyway around it ? And what are the downsides to having a trailer rated at 9999 ? Please help

I hate to break this to anyone, but the 26001 GVWR is universal to all states.

I think there are many variables not being considered. For example : if you’re not running long haul and in a short say 300-500 mile radius of your house I’d run recaps if running long haul I’d do resets. A lot of flat bedders tell me their shippers and receivers aren’t open on weekends which lends itself for resets and renders recaps impossible. There’s always variables to everything you just have to do what works for you
